Situation:Rejection of lab manuals by a famous lecturer of a famous college

it was a beautiful day,
as i held on to my parchment,
i had written on it all night,
to me a whole day's toil it meant.

to display my well drawn images,
i came along with my peers,
we all came to you old man,
without any worries, without any fears.

but what we faced was different,
from what we had imagined,
you made us feel worthless,
you made us wonder if we had sinned.

was our work so insignificant;
that you had to reject it right away?
what if we did not care about norms?
didn't our young minds even have a say?

you refused to listen to us,
you are deaf to young voices we know,
but you had no right to hurt us,
no right to make us feel so low.

hours of hard work you did not see,
struggles of our young hands you did not recognize,
you irritated us, you tortured us,
without giving us time to even agonize!

our generations maybe different,
but humanity still lives on in this age,
cant you stop treating us like animals?
that need to be tamed and put in a cage?!

you banished us from our laboratories,
you refused us entry when we wanted to learn,
you made us wait relentlessly,
you showed no understanding,no concern.

in spite of all the torture you do to us,
we will emerge so strong,
we'll tolerate your actions and your words,
no matter how much you behave like King Kong!

we will stay on to face you,
we are young ,we are bright,
but remember that you are old,
and we're the youth who wont go down without a fight!
